background / biography
The O Marleys a fusion of Folk/Raggae Originally from Dublin and Donegal now based in Exeter. Band members are John Fitzsimons palying 6 and 12 string guitar and vocal. Mackenzie Moulton (Mac the fiddler)playing violin and occasionally bagpipes and vocal.
Michael Nangle (Mick) Main vocal and playing bodhram, and James King on bass guitar and bodhram.
They use traditional songs as a basis of much of their eclectic set, but adapt them into other forms along the way.
The Rocky Road to Dublin, Tell me ma, King of the Fairies keep a traditional frantic pace but swing towards a rock/reggae rhythm.
